Sunset Beach is a colonial-style boutique hotel on the beachfront of Nungwi, one of Zanzibar's most beautiful areas. Nestled in a lush tropical garden and overlooking an enchanting white beach, it is perfect for romantic couples and for lovers of a casual vacation, but with all the comforts.
The hotel made up of small two-storey buildings, where the various rooms and the new bungalows are located. The swimming pool, the restaurant and the bar are directly by the sea.
You will have the feeling of staying in a typical village of the area, with the beach just a few steps away and all services close by.
Surrounded by manicured gardens and tropical plants, the rooms are divided into Double (25sqm, some with sea view), Triple (25sqm with third bed in the corridor), Family (about 60sqm divided into 3 rooms, all in one block, only one near the reception and a little further from the sea) and Junior Suite (about 30sqm in a single room with living area). The 12 newly built bungalows are ideal for 4 people and are located in the quietest area of the village.
Some rooms enjoy a beautiful sea view, and all have a balcony furnished with table and chairs, private bathroom with shower, hairdryer, air conditioning, ceiling fan, TV, telephone, minibar and safe.
Sunset Beach, within walking distance from any point of the village, is one of the most beautiful on the island. Here the phenomenon of tides is less drastic than in other beaches of Zanzibar and therefore allows you to swim almost at any time of the day, making the landscape more varied and fascinating as time goes by.
Under the sunbeds and umbrellas available to guests, it will be exciting to indulge in the spectacle that only a sunset over the sea near the equator can offer.
You can then take advantage of the moments of low tide to relax with long walks on the white sand and discover the whole coast and its stunning colours.
Italy and Africa meet in this restaurant overlooking Nungwi beach, where you can enjoy romantic buffet dinners with your gaze turned towards the sunset over the sea.
The Chefs will delight your palate with the local fish and with an original mix of Mediterranean and the scents of African cuisine, without giving up the inevitable pasta or a fragrant freshly baked pizza.
All seasoned with the breathtaking view overlooked by the terrace: an experience of spices, flavours and colours that you will remember for a long time.
Embraced by the greenery and looking towards the sea, the swimming pool of Sunset Village is ideal to spend relaxing afternoons waiting for the natural spectacle of the sunset over the sea.
Just a few steps away is the beach bar, which will brighten up your evenings with music and drinks at sunset.
Besides the water sports you can practice in the diving centres, such as sailing, kite or canoeing, the island is a wonderful place to discover with guided excursions to the nearby villages or with the famous spice tour, experiences that will introduce you to the real Zanzibari atmosphere.
Not to be missed is also a trip to the Nungwi Mnarani Aquarium, where you can admire beautiful marine turtles in their natural habitat.
Do not miss an exciting day of deep-sea fishing: on board a boat, you will go in search of tuna, barracuda, marlin, and wahoo; a marine experience you will not easily forget!
At the resort you can enjoy a few moments of relaxation with a massage or enjoy the colours of the sunset with a drink at our beach bar overlooking the sea.
The town of Nungwi is located in the north of the island of Zanzibar, in one of the corners of this paradise most appreciated by tourists because of the enchanting sea embraced by a luxuriant nature that smells of Africa.
The western part, where the Sunset Village is located, is one of the liveliest in terms of nightlife and offers boutiques, restaurants, and romantic seaside clubs.
In the surrounding area, guided tours and excursions can be taken to learn about the local traditions, such as the construction of the famous dhows, the traditional boats of Zanzibar fishermen that are still made today using ancient techniques passed down by local artisans.
For those who love snorkeling and diving, an underwater visit to the splendid seabed of this area, populated by a colorful marine fauna, is not to be missed.
